Hollyoaks James makes shock move after Ste’s Rex accusation

James finds himself on the receiving end of a devastating accusation in Hollyoaks when a grieving Ste becomes convinced that his former husband could be responsible for Rex’s death.

Ste is already struggling badly following the loss of Rex, with his determination to uncover the truth becoming increasingly mixed with grief and anger. After turning back to alcohol, his emotions spiral further and he eventually confronts James with his suspicions.

The accusation could easily have pushed the former couple even further apart. James initially reacts badly as Ste becomes increasingly upset, but what follows is far more unexpected.

Rather than simply walking away, James follows Ste and becomes protective of him as it becomes clear just how vulnerable he is. Ste eventually spends the night with James, creating another complicated chapter in a relationship that has already been through years of turmoil.

That leaves the pair facing plenty of unresolved issues once the immediate crisis has passed. Ste will still have to deal with the consequences of his relapse and the accusations he has made, while James may be left wondering exactly where he now stands with his former husband.

With Rex’s death continuing to cast a shadow over Ste’s life, one emotionally charged night with James could make an already difficult situation even more complicated.
