Hollyoaks clue points to Beth discovering Jonah's shocking secret first
Beth is already becoming suspicious in Hollyoaks as Jonah's behaviour changes, but could she be the first to uncover the truth?
Beth has plenty on her mind as Hollyoaks' latest family storyline unfolds, but a series of worrying events could place her closer to the truth than anyone else realises.
As Debbie's birthday celebrations get underway, Beth is left unsettled after discovering her anxiety medication has mysteriously disappeared. While it initially appears to be an isolated incident, it quickly becomes one of several strange moments surrounding the Keane family.
At the same time, Jonah is becoming increasingly desperate to stop Caleb leaving the village. After revealing a long hidden family secret fails to change his son's mind, his behaviour begins escalating behind closed doors.
Viewers already know Jonah secretly drugs Caleb in the opening stages of Hollyoaks' upcoming Fabricated or Induced Illness storyline. However, those closest to the family remain completely unaware that anything sinister is happening.
Beth's missing medication immediately raises questions about whether she could become the first person to suspect something is wrong. As Caleb repeatedly falls ill for no obvious reason, she may begin connecting incidents that everyone else dismisses as coincidence.
Rebecca Ryan has already hinted that Beth's protective instincts will come to the forefront as the storyline develops. That could place her directly in Jonah's path if she starts asking difficult questions about Caleb's unexplained illnesses.
The emotional consequences could be enormous. Beth is trying to support her family while managing her own anxiety, making the discovery that someone she trusts has been manipulating events all along even more devastating.
At this stage, Hollyoaks has not revealed exactly how or when Jonah's actions will be exposed. However, Beth's missing medication feels like an important early clue rather than a random event, suggesting she could eventually play a major role in uncovering the truth.
With Jonah's desperation continuing to grow, the question is no longer whether his secret will come out, but who will realise the truth first.
