Hollyoaks Autumn Trailer Reveals An Explosive Ste Mystery

Hollyoaks is heading into an explosive Autumn, with a brand new trailer teasing one of the most exciting set of storylines the village has seen this year.

At the centre of it all is the mystery surrounding Ste’s disappearance, but that is only the beginning. Secrets are set to come out, relationships are pushed to breaking point, old feelings return and several families face huge revelations that could leave lasting consequences.

The new preview puts James, Sienna, Gemma and even Lucas under suspicion as Ste suddenly vanishes, while Cleo forces Dodger to make a choice, Cindy’s biggest secret comes to light and Abigail’s increasingly inappropriate interest in Dee Dee raises fresh concern.

With so much unfolding at once, Hollyoaks is making it clear that viewers will not want to miss what is coming next.

In a brand new trailer video Ste’s disappearance sends shockwaves through the village after Leela and Mercedes return from searching the shopping centre without him. With no clear explanation for where he has gone, attention quickly turns to the people who may have had a reason to want him out of the way.

James finds himself firmly in the spotlight following his turbulent recent history with Ste.

Mercedes makes her feelings about the lawyer very clear, describing him as “Dee Valley’s most bent lawyer”, but James insists somebody is deliberately setting him up.

Sienna also returns at exactly the wrong moment. Her recent murder charge immediately makes her an obvious person for others to question, although Ste remains her best friend and one of the few people she still has on her side.

Gemma’s involvement could prove even more complicated. She had already ordered her associates to go after Mercedes, but the trailer raises the possibility that those instructions may have changed before Ste vanished.

The situation places Donny in an especially difficult position as he is forced to confront the reality that his own daughter is the criminal he has been trying to track down.

Gemma is also heading towards a fierce confrontation with Mercedes as tensions between them continue to rise.

Perhaps the most painful suspicion of all falls on Lucas. His difficult history with Ste means the family cannot completely ignore the possibility that he may know more than he is saying.

Things become even more concerning when Leah warns Lucas to stay away before later falling from the steps outside her home.

Imran rushes to be beside her afterwards, raising another question about whether the former couple could find their way back to each other.

Ste’s mystery may provide the biggest storyline in the trailer, but it is far from the only relationship heading for trouble.

Cleo finally reaches the end of her patience with secretly seeing Dodger and demands that he make a decision about who he really wants.

The trailer then shows Dodger leaving in the back of a taxi with Cleo, leaving Theresa facing the possibility of heartbreak and the McQueen family with another emotional fallout to deal with.

Frankie and Caleb are also heading into a difficult period. Once seemingly inseparable, the young couple begin clashing as Caleb’s health deteriorates and their plans to travel together start slipping away.

There may also be a much darker threat developing around them.

Jonah’s desperation to stop his son leaving sees him put Caleb in danger, suggesting the protective father may be prepared to go much further than anyone around him realises.

Elsewhere, one of Cindy’s biggest secrets is finally coming into the open.

Dee Dee appears to piece together the truth about Maddox, leading to the revelation that Cindy is his biological mother. Maddox is suddenly left facing a completely different understanding of his family, while Beth struggles with the consequences of the discovery.

Dee Dee is already at the centre of another increasingly troubling storyline involving Abigail. Her teacher’s inappropriate interest continues to escalate, with Abigail using a parent teacher meeting with Tony to suggest that Dee Dee needs to spend more time studying.

Behind the apparently ordinary advice is a much more concerning motive, as Abigail looks for further opportunities to spend time with the vulnerable teenager.

Kathleen-Angel is also facing a frightening wait of her own. The teenager is shown waiting anxiously for the result of a pregnancy test while Ant tells her that he loves her from the other side of the door.

Whether the pair are about to receive life changing news or discover it was simply a close call remains one of the questions left unanswered by the trailer.

Romance is also taking some surprising turns across the village.

Sienna and Tony share a kiss, while old feelings appear to resurface elsewhere as Warren and Gemma are drawn together again.

Mercedes also finds herself reconnecting with Jenson, suggesting there could be several unexpected relationships developing alongside the much darker stories playing out this Autumn.

And with Ste still missing, Cindy’s secret finally exposed, Dodger facing a huge decision and several relationships taking surprising turns, Hollyoaks is lining up an Autumn packed with drama that viewers will not want to miss.
