High Tides Turn Catarina’s Final Move Against Her

High Tides Episodes 27 to 29 push the conflict around Catarina into much more dangerous territory, just as Valerie reaches one of the biggest moments yet for Underground Tattoo. While the festival gives Valerie a chance to show exactly what she can do, Clara is pulled into a private confrontation that reveals how far Catarina is prepared to go when she feels her control slipping.

Catarina still believes she has enough influence to separate Clara and Valerie or force Clara into making a different choice. Instead, the meeting becomes another reminder that Clara is not nearly as easy to manipulate as Catarina expected

Catarina makes Clara an offer she refuses

Clara is taken backstage to the VIP lounge after Catarina asks to see her privately. Catarina wastes little time and offers Clara a six figure salary to lead the company’s expansion into Rio and São Paulo, along with the promise that Clara could attach her name to any project she wanted.

Clara turns the offer down and makes her position clear. She tells Catarina that she is not for sale and that she is not going anywhere without Valerie, refusing to let money or professional opportunity separate her from the life she has chosen.

Catarina then changes tactics and brings up Valerie’s past. She claims that four years earlier Valerie did more than defend Gabby and nearly beat a man to death, adding that she has original reports, investigation material and evidence she believes could destroy Valerie’s reputation.

Clara does not react the way Catarina expects. Instead, she tells her that she is confusing loyalty with weakness, making it clear that threatening Valerie is not going to make her step aside.

Valerie keeps her attention on Underground

While Clara is dealing with Catarina behind the scenes, Valerie remains focused on the festival. When Clara finally returns, Valerie admits that things became intense while her usual backup was missing, but Clara simply says she was taking care of a small problem backstage.

The festival itself becomes a major moment for Underground Tattoo. Valerie looks back on what they have achieved and says that they have taken over the city, clearly understanding how significant the day has become for the studio.

Clara immediately gives the credit back to her. She tells Valerie that she is the one who took over the city and that her own job was simply to make sure the stage was ready for Valerie to shine.

The exchange underlines the difference between Clara and Catarina. Clara supports Valerie’s success without trying to control it, while Catarina repeatedly treats power and loyalty as something that should belong to her.

Clara breaks Catarina’s hold over Gabby

The conflict escalates again when Catarina confronts Clara about what happened to her systems. She says she spent 12 hours going through her firewalls with her security team and describes Clara’s work on the server as almost surgical because no alarms were triggered.

Clara responds that Catarina built high walls but forgot about the back doors. She then hands over an envelope containing documents that, according to Clara, give Gabby full financial independence.

Clara says Gabby’s house, car and contracts are now in her own name, meaning Catarina can no longer use those assets as a way to control her. She also sets a clear boundary, warning Catarina that if she touches Gabby, follows her or sends anyone near her, the deal is over.

That moment shifts the balance between them. Catarina may still have money, influence and information, but Clara has now shown that she has been watching closely and is willing to act when someone she cares about is being controlled.

High Tides Episodes 27 to 29 bring Valerie’s professional success and Clara’s fight against Catarina into the same storyline. Underground is moving forward, while Catarina is discovering that the people around her are no longer as easy to control as she once believed.
