High Tides Episodes 3 and 4 Bring Clara and Valerie Closer

High Tides continues building the connection between Clara and Valerie in Episodes 3 and 4, with their early attraction becoming harder to dismiss. Their conversations remain playful on the surface, but there is already a stronger feeling underneath it.

When Clara and Valerie properly introduce themselves, Valerie admits that something about Clara feels strangely familiar. She knows they crossed paths the previous day at Praia Grande, where Clara photographed her surfing, but Valerie is convinced the feeling goes back further than that.

Clara explains that she noticed Valerie on the beach before Gabby arrived, while Valerie makes it clear that Clara was just as difficult to ignore. The exchange quickly becomes more personal when Valerie says it feels as though some part of her already knows what being close to Clara is like.

It is an unusually direct admission for such an early stage in their relationship, and Clara is clearly affected by it.

A Playful Moment Brings Them Even Closer

The mood changes when Clara struggles to pull on part of her surfing gear. Valerie cannot resist teasing her, pointing out that a personal trainer is somehow losing a battle with a piece of rubber.

What starts as a joke quickly puts the pair physically closer together. Clara asks Valerie for help, gripping her shoulders while Valerie pulls the wetsuit into place.

Their banter keeps the moment light, but the closeness between them adds another layer to what has already been building since their first meeting. Neither woman says much about it directly, yet the attraction is becoming increasingly obvious.

Episodes 3 and 4 show why High Tides works best when it allows Clara and Valerie’s relationship to develop through smaller moments. A conversation on the beach, a lingering look and even something as simple as helping with a wetsuit all add to the sense that these two women are being drawn towards one another.
