Global Black Pride Paris 2026 Gets easyJet Backing as Thousands Prepare to Travel
easyJet is supporting Global Black Pride Paris 2026, helping activists and community leaders travel to France for five days of events from 9 to 13 September.
Paris is preparing to host the first European edition of Global Black Pride, with easyJet supporting a programme designed to help Black LGBT activists, advocates and community leaders from around the world travel to the French capital.
Global Black Pride Paris takes place from 9 to 13 September 2026, bringing five days of conferences, cultural events, celebrations and community gatherings to venues across the city.
The programme begins with an opening reception on 9 September before the Global Black Queer Assembly takes place across 10 and 11 September. The Black Excellence Awards Gala follows on Friday evening, with the biggest public events arriving on Saturday.
easyJet supports international travellers
easyJet is supporting the Global Black Pride Scholarship Programme as part of its wider Pride partnerships across Europe in 2026.
The airline says the programme will help Black LGBTQI+ activists, advocates and community leaders from around the world travel to Paris and participate in the conference, human rights discussions and wider celebrations.
Oliver Henry, Head of Inclusion and Wellbeing at easyJet, said the airline wanted to help make Pride more accessible through its partnerships, including by supporting travel to international celebrations.
easyJet’s wider 2026 Pride programme has also included partnerships with Blackpool Pride, Aviation Pride UK and WorldPride Amsterdam. The airline says the programme runs throughout the summer and focuses on inclusion, representation and improving access to Pride celebrations across Europe.
Global Black Pride takes over Paris
The main Global Black Pride March takes place on Saturday 12 September, beginning at Square Léon in the Goutte d’Or neighbourhood at 2pm.
The route is expected to pass through Château Rouge and Château d’Eau before reaching Place de la République at around 5pm. A free Global Black Pride Music Festival then continues at République until 10pm, followed by an official after party later that evening.
Paris’s official tourism organisation is also promoting the event to visitors, describing the 2026 gathering as the first European edition of Global Black Pride.
Where to stay
Visitors wanting to remain close to several of the main events can consider accommodation around the 10th, 11th and 18th arrondissements.
The Goutte d’Or and Château Rouge areas place visitors close to the start of Saturday’s march, while the 10th arrondissement is convenient for the Global Black Queer Assembly and has easy access to Gare du Nord.
Those wanting a more central Paris stay can also base themselves around Le Marais, République or the wider city centre and use the Metro to reach individual events.
Getting to Paris
For UK visitors, Paris can be reached directly by Eurostar from London St Pancras or by air from airports across Britain.
easyJet serves Paris from several UK airports, while Gare du Nord places Eurostar passengers close to the northern parts of the city used by several Global Black Pride events.
Global Black Pride Paris concludes on 13 September after five days of events bringing together visitors, activists, artists and community leaders from around the world.
