Gay hockey-romance musical parody Deep-Heat Rivalry heads to Australia
Deep-Heat Rivalry, an adult musical parody about two rival hockey stars in love, is coming to Melbourne and Sydney in 2027.
A camp musical parody about two rival hockey stars who are secretly in love is heading to Australia, with Deep-Heat Rivalry set for Melbourne and Sydney performances in early 2027.

The comedy follows Shane Hollandaise and Ilya Stroganoff, whose fierce rivalry on the ice hides a romantic relationship. The production takes an exaggerated, adult-comedy approach to gay hockey romance, featuring parody songs and outrageous theatrical humour.
Written and directed by Trevor Ashley, with Phil Scott also credited as a writer, the show will play Chapel Off Chapel in Melbourne from 21 to 31 January 2027, followed by Foundry Theatre in Sydney from 2 to 14 March.
Both venues warn audiences to expect adult content, including strong language and nudity. The production is recommended for audiences aged 18 and over.
