Serena Sugden has only been in the village a short time, but questions about her background continue to grow.

Recent episodes have already shown Moira Dingle becoming suspicious about Serena's interest in John Sugden, while Aaron Dingle has also expressed concerns after learning about her connection to his former husband. At the same time, Serena has built a positive relationship with Charity Dingle and has become one of her biggest sources of support during a difficult period.

That combination of trust and suspicion has made Serena one of Emmerdale's most intriguing newcomers.

Today's episode added another layer to the mystery when Kev Townsend became convinced that he recognised her from somewhere.

Serena Has Quickly Divided Opinion

One reason Serena's arrival has generated interest is because different villagers seem to have formed very different opinions about her.
