Emmerdale Vinny’s secret proposal at risk after Kev erupts

Emmerdale’s Vinny faces a major setback after trusting Kev with one of the biggest secrets of his life. His plans to propose to Lewis are thrown into doubt when Kev’s temper flares following a private conversation involving Gabby.

Vinny becomes worried that Kev may have overheard something he was never meant to hear. That concern quickly grows into panic, prompting Vinny to confront him before making him swear that whatever he knows will stay between them.

The situation becomes much more uncomfortable when Kev reacts angrily rather than keeping things low key. Vinny is left regretting opening up to him at all, particularly with such an important decision about Lewis now hanging over him.

Things eventually calm down enough for Vinny and Kev to sit together at the Woolpack. Vinny admits that he had been planning to ask Lewis to marry him, but the tension surrounding everything that has happened leaves him reconsidering whether now is the right time.

He ultimately decides to postpone the proposal, leaving Lewis completely unaware of how close Vinny had come to taking their relationship to the next level. The delay does not change Vinny’s feelings, but it shows how badly the situation with Kev has shaken his confidence.

Gabby is also dealing with problems of her own as Lewis attempts to support her. With secrets building around both Vinny and Gabby, Kev now knows information that could cause serious trouble if it escapes beyond the people involved.

For Vinny, what should have been an exciting step towards his future with Lewis has instead become another source of anxiety. Trusting Kev may prove to be the decision that changes when, or even how, his proposal finally happens.
