Belle Dingle faces an emotional ordeal as she discovers that Tom will soon be released from prison, leaving Kammy Hadiq worried about how she is coping with the news.
Belle's Victim Liaison Officer informs her that Tom's release is approaching but reassures her that he will be subject to strict licence conditions. Despite the reassurance, Belle's demeanour changes and she rushes out, leaving Kammy pained by what he sees.
Wanting to protect Belle, Kammy is left concerned about her wellbeing. Belle finds some comfort in talking to Rhona Goskirk, who has lived experience and helps her take control of her feelings as she tries to process the latest development.
However, Kammy's own feelings create another difficult moment. He makes an embarrassing declaration of love to Belle, but she runs off, unable to cope with the confession or give him a response.
With Tom's release approaching and Kammy's feelings now out in the open, Belle has a great deal to process as she tries to regain control of her emotions.
