Emmerdale spoilers 28 Sept to 2 Oct: Baby Tate heartbreak and Thea turns on Kim

Emmerdale has a difficult week ahead for Kim Tate as Joe refuses to reconsider his plans for Baby Tate, while Graham makes a huge decision of his own. Kim also finds herself at the centre of Thea’s changing feelings towards her, with Serena suggesting it may finally be time for Thea to reveal the truth.

Elsewhere, Lewis leaves Vinny heartbroken by ending their relationship, Sadie continues searching for Jimmy’s money and Robert watches Laurel and Gabby’s problems at The Hide with delight. Manpreet also makes a realisation about Gabby’s social media reels, while Sarah becomes suspicious after spotting Serena secretly associating with Thea.

Kim fights Joe over Baby Tate

Kim discovers that Joe has banned anybody from seeing Baby Tate as he prepares to put the baby up for adoption. She is deeply upset by his plans and tries in vain to persuade him to see sense.

Graham also tries to stop the adoption and gives Joe an ultimatum over what he intends to do. He tells Joe that if the adoption goes ahead, he will leave Joe’s life forever.

Kim is delighted when Joe and Graham later arrive home with Baby Tate, but her hope is quickly shattered. Joe’s plan has not changed and he has only brought the baby back so Kim can say goodbye.

Kim once again begs Joe to reconsider the adoption and then discovers there is another goodbye ahead. Graham is leaving too, adding to an already heartbreaking situation for Kim.

Thea changes her mind about Kim twice

Thea has been gunning for Kim, but an encounter between the pair at Will’s graveside causes her to reflect on how she feels. Their conversation shifts Thea’s opinion of Kim and appears to soften her attitude towards her.

Serena subsequently suggests that perhaps the time has come for Thea to tell Kim that she is her mother. Before that can happen, however, another encounter causes Thea’s feelings to swing back in the opposite direction.

Vinny arrives at the pub and Kim loses it, with Thea overhearing what she believes is a blasé attitude towards Baby Tate’s predicament. The sympathy Thea had developed disappears and she once again becomes determined to get revenge.

Sarah later spots Serena furtively associating with Thea and becomes suspicious about what she has seen. What Sarah decides to do with that suspicion remains to be seen.

Lewis breaks Vinny’s heart

Vinny faces heartbreak when Lewis ends their relationship. The breakup leaves Vinny devastated as Lewis makes the decision to walk away from him.

Vinny later speaks to Aaron and tells him about a plan he has made.

What that plan involves is not revealed, leaving Vinny’s next move unanswered following his breakup with Lewis.

Sadie is caught searching for Jimmy’s money

Sadie continues her search for Jimmy’s cash but runs into trouble when Caleb catches her. With Caleb demanding answers, Sadie is forced to admit that she is looking for Jimmy’s money for Nicola.

Ruby later begins asking questions, forcing Sadie to scramble to cover her tracks. After the near miss, she warns Robert about what has happened as their search becomes increasingly difficult to conceal.

Robert urges Sadie to cut their losses, but she refuses to give up. Sadie remains convinced that finding the money will be worth it and insists that they must continue looking.

Robert enjoys trouble at The Hide

Laurel and Gabby fall out over the healthy eating menu at The Hide while also dealing with their bad financial situation. Their disagreement comes as the business continues to struggle.

Robert is hovering in the wings and is delighted that their business plan is failing. While Laurel and Gabby clash over the menu and their finances, Robert watches their problems unfold.

Manpreet realises what Gabby’s reels involve

Manpreet begins to understand what the content of Gabby’s own social media reels involves. The penny starts to drop as she realises what has been happening.

The discovery leaves Manpreet wondering whether she can get through to Gabby. Exactly what happens when she tries is not revealed.
