Emmerdale spoilers 21 to 25 September: 7 secrets exposed

Secrets finally begin exploding across Emmerdale as several characters lose control of truths they have been desperately trying to contain. Vinny’s confession sits at the centre of the fallout, but he is far from the only villager with something dangerous hanging over him.

Here are seven revelations set to potentially change the lives of those involved:

Vinny finally tells Nicola that he caused the car crash which killed Jimmy and Dawn. It is the confession she has no way of preparing for after weeks of questions surrounding her husband’s death.

Vinny then tells Joe the same devastating truth. Joe says nothing, but his intense reaction leaves those around him seriously concerned about what he could do next.

Nicola takes matters further by revealing Vinny’s involvement publicly. She announces in the pub that he caused the fatal accident while he was on the phone to Gabby.

Joe is also hiding a horrifying secret of his own. His visit to a grave reveals that Ruby has been buried alive inside a coffin as part of his revenge for Dawn’s death.

Caleb eventually tells Moira exactly what has happened. He also admits that he intends to take vengeance on Joe, forcing Moira to intervene before his anger destroys his own future.

Kev’s position becomes increasingly uncomfortable once Nicola learns the truth about Vinny. Watching her reaction makes him fear the moment she discovers that he has lied too.

Finally, Carl reveals that he has found voice messages on Jimmy’s laptop while planning a funeral video. Nicola immediately panics and takes the computer from him, raising another major question about what Jimmy left behind.
