Emmerdale places Serena in an increasingly dangerous position as Sarah’s secret threatens to collide directly with Thea’s investigation. Serena knows far more than she can safely admit, while her long friendship with Thea is becoming harder to protect.
Sarah’s guilt over Dr Caitlin Todd’s death continues to intensify as Charity remains under police scrutiny. Serena becomes involved when Sarah considers telling the police everything, leaving the former officer acutely aware of just how serious the consequences could become.
Serena tries to manage the situation carefully, but keeping Sarah’s confidence means withholding important information from one of her closest friends. Thea is already relentlessly pursuing the truth surrounding Todd’s death, putting Serena in the uncomfortable position of knowing something that could dramatically affect the investigation.
The pressure becomes even greater because Serena and Thea have a long history together. Serena is described as one of Thea’s best friends and has been trusted with details of her plans, but that loyalty is now being tested from several directions at once.
