Emmerdale Kim relives painful past after Baby Tate goodbye
Kim's goodbye to Baby Tate brings painful memories of the daughter she gave away flooding back in upcoming Emmerdale scenes.
Kim is pulled back towards one of the most painful moments of her past in Emmerdale after saying goodbye to Baby Tate.
Joe's refusal to keep his son leaves Kim devastated, particularly after she had hoped to step in and keep the baby within the family. When Joe brings the child back to Home Farm, her brief hope that he has reconsidered is quickly destroyed.
The goodbye also stirs memories of the daughter Kim gave up for adoption years ago. She knows exactly what it means for a child to leave a family in those circumstances, making Joe's decision especially difficult for her to accept.
What Kim still does not know is that the daughter at the centre of those memories is already close by. Thea is her long-lost child, although Kim remains completely unaware of her true identity.
The timing leaves mother and daughter caught in an extraordinary situation. Kim is mourning the daughter she once surrendered just as Thea continues wrestling with her own feelings towards the mother she believes abandoned her.
