Emmerdale Caleb and Ruby Target Jimmy in Ruthless Business Plot
Emmerdale’s Caleb and Ruby target Jimmy’s struggling business with a ruthless robbery plot, but involving Kev could leave their entire scheme exposed.
Caleb and Ruby are preparing to tighten their grip on Jimmy in Emmerdale as their plan to take control of his haulage business gathers pace. Rather than waiting for Home James to fail on its own, the couple appear determined to help push it towards the brink.
Jimmy is already struggling financially when Caleb and Ruby see an opportunity to buy him out at a heavily reduced price. Their plan involves deliberately damaging the business from behind the scenes, while keeping Jimmy unaware that the people seemingly offering him a way out are helping to create his problems.
Kev is pulled into the scheme when Caleb needs somebody willing to do their dirty work. He is persuaded to rob one of Jimmy’s vans after being told there will be a valuable haul inside, with Caleb and Ruby hoping another setback will send the business into an even deeper spiral.
The robbery succeeds, but there is an unexpected twist when Kev discovers the supposed valuable cargo is around 3,000 nappies. Far from seeing the funny side, Kev realises he has taken a major risk for little reward and becomes increasingly furious with the people who sent him.
Caleb and Ruby believe they still have a way of controlling him because they possess CCTV footage connected to Kev’s attack on Billy. However, relying on somebody as unpredictable as Kev could prove to be the biggest weakness in their entire plan, particularly once he realises just how badly he has been used.
For Jimmy, the damage could be devastating because he remains unaware of what is happening behind his back. As Home James struggles and Caleb positions himself as a potential buyer, Jimmy could find himself accepting a reduced offer from the very man who helped engineer his downfall.
The plan may look calculated, but Kev is already becoming harder for Caleb and Ruby to manage. If their reluctant accomplice decides he has had enough, the scheme to take Jimmy’s business could unravel before Caleb gets the deal he wants.
