Emmerdale is preparing to expose more of DS Ramsden’s secret history as her investigation into Dr Caitlin Todd’s death becomes increasingly personal. The detective has already made her presence felt in the village, but upcoming scenes reveal that solving the case may not be the only thing driving her.
Thea’s interrogation of a villager takes an uncomfortable turn when it becomes apparent that she is getting satisfaction from seeing her suspect under emotional pressure. Her behaviour points towards a deeper connection to the person sitting opposite her, with a flashback set to reveal hidden history between them.
The revelations also place Kim firmly within Thea’s wider story. The detective appears to have her own agenda involving the Tates, creating a new mystery around exactly what has brought her to Emmerdale and why events surrounding the family have become so important to her.

The flashback promises to transform what viewers know about Thea and give new context to her increasingly intense behaviour. With Kim now seemingly connected to that hidden past, the detective’s arrival in Emmerdale could prove to have been far more personal than it first appeared.
