Dawn Fletcher’s secret plan to leave Joe takes a dramatic turn when Graham gets dangerously close to uncovering everything. With her escape to Billy already hanging by a thread, Dawn goes to extraordinary lengths to stop Graham standing in her way.
Graham has become increasingly suspicious about the events surrounding Billy’s attack. Dawn believes Joe arranged the assault that left Billy in a coma, but Graham begins asking questions about whether the story actually makes sense.
His suspicions are well founded because Billy knows Kev was responsible. Kev has confessed that he accidentally attacked Billy during the attempted robbery at the depot, yet Dawn remains unaware and is preparing to leave Joe partly because she believes he ordered the attack.
Graham’s attention is first drawn towards trouble as Joe prepares for the wedding. Although he initially reassures Joe that the ceremony will go ahead, he cannot shake the sense that something is happening behind his back.
The situation changes again when Lucas accidentally reveals information about what Dawn and Billy are planning. Graham now has another reason to believe Joe is about to be betrayed and sets out to stop Dawn leaving.
At Home Farm, Dawn makes a secret phone call to Billy to finalise the details of their escape. She is preparing to get away and join him when Graham suddenly appears, leaving her trapped in a confrontation she desperately wanted to avoid.
Graham then reveals that he has learned what really happened at the depot. More importantly, he raises the question of how Billy could know who attacked him when the blow came from behind, planting serious doubt in Dawn’s mind.
The implications are enormous because Dawn has made her decision about Joe believing Billy’s version of events. If that version starts falling apart, so could the entire reason she has convinced herself that leaving Joe is the right choice.
Dawn is already under immense pressure and refuses to let Graham stop her. She attacks him with a shovel before tying him up, buying herself the time she needs to continue her desperate attempt to escape.
The confrontation adds another explosive complication to a wedding already surrounded by secrets. Joe remains focused on marrying Dawn, while Billy is waiting for her and Caleb is preparing to expose the truth about their plans.
Dawn may manage to get away from Graham temporarily, but his questions have introduced something she cannot easily forget. If Billy has lied about the attack, Dawn could soon realise that the future she is risking everything for has been built on a major deception.
