Emmerdale Dawn Fears Joe Knows About Her Secret Escape
Emmerdale’s Dawn fears Joe may have uncovered her secret plan to flee with Billy when their carefully arranged escape is suddenly derailed.
Dawn is left fearing Joe could know far more than she realises in upcoming Emmerdale scenes when her carefully arranged escape with Billy is suddenly brought to a halt. The pair have been secretly preparing to disappear with the children, but their plan begins falling apart just as they are ready to leave Home Farm.
Still convinced Joe was behind Billy’s brutal attack, Dawn no longer feels she can remain with him. She and Billy have arranged fake passports, packed their belongings and told the children they are going away on holiday, hoping to get away while Joe is occupied elsewhere.
Their opportunity appears to have arrived when Joe is expected to be celebrating his stag do. Dawn and Billy prepare to leave before he can discover what they are doing, but Graham unexpectedly turns up and immediately throws their getaway into doubt.
Instead of allowing them to continue their journey, Graham tells them Joe has arranged a surprise. Dawn and Billy are taken away from Home Farm and soon discover they are being brought directly to a joint stag and hen celebration organised by Joe.
For Dawn, the sudden interruption could hardly look more suspicious. She has been planning to secretly leave the man she is supposed to marry, only for Joe’s plans to change at the exact moment she and Billy are trying to disappear.
The situation becomes even more uncomfortable when they discover the celebration involves clay pigeon shooting. Dawn is already carrying enormous anger towards Joe over what she believes he did to Billy, and being placed unexpectedly beside him only increases the pressure.
When Dawn is handed a loaded shotgun, the failed escape takes an alarming turn. Her attention begins to shift towards Joe, leaving the supposedly romantic celebration looking increasingly dangerous as Dawn struggles with everything she believes about him.
However, Billy is also moving closer to learning the real truth about his attack. With Kev eventually admitting responsibility, Dawn could soon discover that one of the biggest reasons she believed she had to escape Joe was based on the wrong assumption, leaving her with an even harder decision about what happens next.
