Emmerdale Charity cornered as police expose flaw in her story

Emmerdale’s Charity faces a major new threat in upcoming scenes as police discover forensic evidence that does not fit the story she has given them about Dr Caitlin Todd’s death. With DS Ramsden already suspicious, the discovery could finally begin to tear apart the version of events Charity has been desperately trying to maintain.

Charity has been protecting Sarah by sticking to her account of what happened, even as the pressure surrounding Caitlin’s death continues to grow. Her position becomes considerably more dangerous when she is taken back to the police station and confronted with evidence that appears to contradict what she previously told investigators.

The possibility of Sarah finally telling the truth therefore becomes increasingly significant. Charity may be determined to protect her, but every new piece of evidence threatens to take that decision out of their hands as the investigation moves closer to what really happened.

For Charity, this could be the moment her carefully maintained story begins to unravel. With Thea refusing to let the case go and Sarah reaching the limits of what she can carry, both women are running out of room to keep Caitlin’s death hidden.
