Emmerdale Catch-Up as Belle Fears Tom's Release and Baby Tate's Kidnap Puts Kim in Danger

Belle received frightening news about Tom during Emmerdale from 19–23 October, while Kim faced questions about baby Tate and Sadie continued interfering in Caleb and Ruby's marriage

Coming this week, a kidnapping pushes Kim into a terrible mistake, Liam becomes caught up in an armed confrontation and Paddy makes a disturbing discovery at the vets.

Belle Faces the Prospect of Tom's Release

Belle received news from her Victim Liaison Officer that Tom would soon be released from prison. Although licence conditions will apply, the prospect of him being free again left her frightened.

Rhona offered reassurance as Belle tried to process the information. She has worked hard to rebuild her life after Tom's abuse, and his release threatens the sense of security she has gradually regained.

Kammy also noticed that Belle was struggling, but his declaration of love came at the wrong moment. Already overwhelmed by the news about Tom, Belle ran away rather than respond.

Kim's Problems With Baby Tate Escalate

Kim found herself answering difficult questions when a social worker began investigating allegations surrounding baby Tate's adoption.

Lydia also misunderstood a conversation with Kim, believing she had offered Samson a job when he was released. The confusion became more awkward when Thea overheard part of their discussion and drew her own conclusions.

This week, baby Tate is kidnapped from the cottage, sending Kim into a panic. Determined to keep Joe from discovering what has happened, Kim turns to Thea for assistance but insists that the police must not become involved.

The kidnapper increases the pressure by sending ransom demands and displaying photographs of the family around the cottage. Graham also receives instructions about where he must go.

Kim becomes convinced that Thea is responsible and confronts her. When Thea retaliates, Kim stabs her, only to discover that the seriously injured woman is innocent. The consequences are immediate. Kim takes Thea to hospital, where doctors insist the police must be contacted.

Meanwhile, Graham discovers baby Tate safe at Home Farm Stables. Although the child has been found, the identity of the person responsible leaves him struggling to process what has happened.

Liam and Chas Face an Armed Gunman

Liam's return from a medical conference with Manpreet causes an argument when Chas accuses them of having an affair.

Claudette provides an explanation, but Liam still manages to upset Chas, leaving their relationship strained. Chas later organises a murder mystery evening in an attempt to surprise Liam. Unfortunately, the planned entertainment takes a dangerous turn.

Liam mistakes Dave for part of the role-play and allows himself to be tied up. Dylan arrives and is horrified to find Dave waiting. Dave reveals that Dylan informed the police about him, before knocking Marlon unconscious and forcing Chas outside at gunpoint.

What should have been a harmless evening of entertainment becomes a genuine emergency, with Liam powerless to intervene.

Paddy Makes a Disturbing Discovery

Paddy finds what appears to be a body at the veterinary surgery, with a knife sticking out of its back.

The discovery comes amid Halloween celebrations, leaving uncertainty about whether he has stumbled upon a genuine crime or something connected to the festivities...

Sadie Manipulates Caleb and Ruby

Sadie continues her attempts to create problems in Caleb and Ruby's marriage.

Ruby's behaviour at a business meeting causes embarrassment when a client leaves unimpressed. Caleb becomes furious, and Sadie uses the disagreement to increase the couple's suspicions about each other.

She suggests to Ruby that Caleb is controlling, while separately persuading Caleb that Ruby may have a problem with alcohol.

By presenting herself as concerned about both of them, Sadie encourages each partner to question the other's behaviour. Her interference continues throughout the week as she attempts to drive an even bigger wedge between them.

Where to Watch Emmerdale
