Emmerdale Caleb Miligan Drops Brutal Dawn Bombshell On Joe

Caleb Miligan gets the perfect opportunity to strike back at Joe when his bitter rival makes the mistake of pushing him too far. What Joe does not realise is that Caleb knows Dawn is secretly planning to abandon their wedding and leave with Billy.

Caleb has become directly involved in Dawn and Billy’s escape after deciding to help Billy get out of the village. He provides him with money for a new life with Dawn and the children, while also knowing exactly what has driven Dawn away from Joe.

The situation becomes even more complicated because Caleb knows Kev was responsible for Billy’s attack. Joe is being blamed for something he did not do, while Caleb watches as Billy allows Dawn to continue believing the worst about her fiancé.

With the wedding approaching, Caleb is enjoying the prospect of seeing Joe’s happiness collapse. Billy may be uncomfortable about being used as another weapon in Caleb’s feud, but he still accepts the help because he desperately wants to leave with Dawn.

Joe remains completely unaware of the danger surrounding him. He is preparing an extravagant wedding and believes he is about to secure his future with Dawn, even as she plots to disappear.

Tensions between the two men finally boil over during a confrontation at the Woolpack. Joe becomes increasingly irritated by Caleb’s attitude and withdraws his invitation to the wedding, believing he can simply remove another source of trouble from his big day.

Caleb initially keeps quiet about what he knows. Rather than immediately ruin Joe’s plans, he waits while his rival continues believing everything is going exactly as expected.

Eventually Caleb reveals the truth and tells Joe that Dawn has no intention of marrying him. Instead, she is planning to leave with Billy, turning what Joe thought would be the happiest moment of his life into a potentially devastating betrayal.

The revelation has huge consequences because Joe has no idea how far Dawn and Billy’s plans have progressed. Caleb has already helped fund their getaway, while Dawn is attempting to escape Home Farm before anybody can stop her.

Caleb’s revenge could prove costly for more than Joe, however. He knows Billy has kept the truth about the attack from Dawn, meaning he is helping a plan that could collapse completely if she learns what really happened.

For now, Caleb has exactly what he wanted: information capable of wiping the smile from Joe’s face. The bigger question is what happens once Joe realises just how many people have been working behind his back.
