Emmerdale Billy Learns Truth About Who Attacked Him

Billy is set to learn a huge truth in Emmerdale when Kev drunkenly admits that he was responsible for the attack which left him in a coma. The confession threatens to overturn everything Billy and Dawn have believed about Joe since the violent assault.

Dawn has been convinced that Joe was behind what happened to Billy, and that belief has played a major part in her determination to get away from him. Billy has also been left dealing with the aftermath of the attack while tensions around Joe have continued to build.

The real story is much closer to Caleb and Ruby, who have CCTV footage showing Kev standing over Billy with a crowbar after the assault. They have been using the recording to blackmail Kev and keep him involved in their own plans, but controlling him is becoming increasingly difficult.

Kev eventually takes matters into his own hands by destroying the laptop containing the incriminating footage. He may believe that has removed the biggest threat hanging over him, but his own actions soon put the secret at risk again.

After drinking heavily at Joe and Dawn’s joint stag and hen celebration, Kev approaches Billy and apologises for attacking him. Billy is left stunned by the admission, having believed that Joe was responsible for leaving him seriously injured.

The revelation could have major consequences for Dawn, who is still acting on the assumption that Joe attacked Billy. With Billy now given a very different version of events, he may be forced to tell Dawn the truth before her anger towards Joe pushes her any further.

Kev’s admission also creates another problem for Caleb and Ruby because the secret they had been using to control him is now starting to escape their grasp. If Billy begins asking questions about what really happened, their connection to Kev could become much harder to keep hidden.

Joe may finally have the chance to be cleared of one of the most serious accusations hanging over him, but that does not necessarily repair the damage already done. Billy now knows something Dawn desperately needs to hear, and what he does with that information could determine what happens next between all three of them.
