The feud between Josh and Jasmine did not happen overnight.

Oscar Branning and Jasmine were already in a relationship when Anthony Trueman attacked Zoe and Jasmine. During the confrontation, Jasmine killed Anthony in self defence while protecting herself and her mother. She was arrested and later imprisoned while the circumstances surrounding Anthony's death were investigated.

Oscar found the ordeal difficult to process, but after discovering evidence that supported Jasmine's claim of self defence, he visited her in prison. The pair reconciled and shared a kiss, appearing ready to rebuild their relationship.

Everything changed following Josh's arrival in Walford. After accidentally meeting at The Prince Albert, Josh and Oscar formed an instant connection. Neither man realised who the other really was. They even spoke about Jasmine without recognising the family link before sharing a kiss and later sleeping together.

As Oscar's feelings became increasingly divided, the situation grew more complicated. Despite trying to distance himself from Josh, the attraction between them proved impossible to ignore. Following another disagreement between the twins, Josh and Oscar agreed they should stay away from one another, only to end up kissing again and spending the night together.

The truth finally emerged during Josh and Jasmine's birthday dinner when Josh admitted he and Oscar were in a relationship.

For Jasmine, the revelation was devastating.

Why this matters so much to Zoe

For many parents, seeing siblings argue is upsetting.

Actor Joshua Vaughan has suggested Josh and Oscar are "not completely far gone from each other", hinting there could still be another chapter for the couple in the future.

However, he has also explained that Josh came to Walford to find his sister, making Jasmine his priority at this stage.

Repairing the relationship between the twins could allow both siblings to begin moving forward, regardless of what happens romantically.

Can Walford Pride heal old wounds?

Walford Pride has become an important annual event within EastEnders, celebrating the diversity of Albert Square while also providing the backdrop for major character moments.

This year, it could also become the setting for one of the programme's most emotional family reconciliations.

Whether Josh and Jasmine are ready to forgive one another remains to be seen. Jasmine is still coming to terms with the betrayal she experienced, while Josh must accept the consequences of keeping his relationship with Oscar hidden for so long.
