EastEnders spoilers: Wedding fallout and a Slater family crisis
Max and Cindy’s wedding explodes into trouble before the Slaters face another major shock and Penny’s pregnancy takes a worrying turn in EastEnders.
EastEnders is throwing Walford straight into high drama, with episodes this coming week from 7 September followed by the first clues about next week from 13 September 2026.
Here is your short snapshot of what is coming up ahead, including a wedding day spiralling out of control, Kat and Zoe reaching another flashpoint and more trouble looming for the Slaters.
This week sees Cindy preparing to marry Max, but Max is nowhere to be found when the day begins. Linda learns about Priya, Lauren overhears Priya’s angry reaction and Jack and Oscar are eventually left trying to get Max where he needs to be.
The wedding is anything but straightforward when Linda and Priya both turn up, leaving Cindy and Max’s big day surrounded by tension and revelations.
Kim and Howie face a very different wedding dilemma because Denise cannot attend. Howie changes the arrangements, and the couple eventually marry beside Denise in hospital. The family also receives positive news connected to Denise’s stem-cell treatment.
Meanwhile, Tommy secretly gets hold of vodka while worrying about Joel, and Kat later discovers that he has been drinking.
Zoe also spots an opportunity involving Charlie Slater’s old taxi. After a confrontation with the seller, she makes a reckless decision involving the cab, leaving Kat furious and widening the divide between mother and daughter. Alfie later encourages Kat to try to repair things with Zoe.
Coming up also, Ned and Gemma attempt to become closer to Phil and Sharon, but further revelations involving Jodie and Ryder complicate matters.
Then next week brings another serious blow for Kat, Alfie and the wider Slater family. Penny also becomes increasingly worried about her pregnancy, with her waters breaking around Vinny’s 30th birthday. Another Walford family is left shaken by a dark discovery, while Gemma continues trying to find her place in the Square.
