There is no shortage of drama in Walford this week, as one family searches for a missing daughter, another faces the consequences of a damaging secret, and the Slaters prepare for an emotional farewell. Alongside the biggest developments, Halloween brings Kojo and Jodie into closer contact.

1. Jack and Max desperately search for Amy

Oscar interrupts Jack and Max with news that Amy and Craig are preparing to leave Walford. The brothers race to stop them, but the pair get away. Jack is distraught and launches a search with police assistance, while the family try to keep Denise from worrying.

Denise grows suspicious, however, and Darnell decides to tell her that Amy is missing. Jack is forced to explain everything. Believing Craig is responsible for Amy’s recent behaviour, Jack and Max break into Craig’s flat. Later, an unexpected arrival in Walford catches Jack’s attention, while Ash checks on Denise because she believes the stress is taking its toll.

2. Jess’s revelations leave Lee facing the Carters

Linda and Lee return from an unsuccessful search, only to find Jess waiting at Peacock Palace. Jess exposes Lee’s lies in front of the family, and Linda subsequently finds evidence that Jess was telling the truth. Lee lashes out as tensions rise.

Lee attempts to repair things with Nancy, but she refuses to give up parental responsibility for the baby. Linda remains determined to help her son turn things around, and Max later offers Lee work. The fallout continues when Cindy clashes with Max as he arrives looking for Lee, with Lee turning up during their argument.

3. Kat prepares to bury Zoe

The Slaters are thrown into a panic when a problem with the order of service threatens the funeral preparations. Jean, Mo and Honey try to put things right without Kat finding out, while Jasmine struggles to complete her eulogy and receives support from Patrick.

Jasmine later protects Jean when a customer causes trouble at The Albert, prompting the Slaters to compare her actions to Zoe’s. Kat and Cindy also clash with a customer outside the pub. Kat eventually arrives for the funeral and insists that proceedings continue. Jasmine and Josh deliver their eulogies before Kat pays tribute to her daughter, and residents later gather at The Vic to share memories.

4. Cindy is left feeling guilty

Before the funeral, Kat opens up to Cindy about the person she believes left Zoe to die. The conversation leaves Cindy guilt-ridden. Later, Cindy lashes out at Max when he arrives looking for Lee, and Lee turns up as their argument unfolds. A further revelation also emerges in The Vic on Thursday, although the supplied synopsis does not reveal what it is.

5. Kojo and Jodie get closer

Halloween preparations bring Kojo and Jodie together when Harry recruits Kojo to help with celebrations at Harry’s Barn, unaware Jodie is making similar plans. The pair clash despite their growing connection, and the Hawkins family attempt to play matchmaker.
