EastEnders spoilers for 21–24 September as Lauren Branning faces five painful decisions across Walford
Lauren is torn over Mark, Priya weighs up Cindy’s threat and Darnell explains his fears as five difficult decisions take centre stage in EastEnders.
Lauren’s marriage comes under renewed pressure just as Mark reappears in EastEnders. She is one of several residents facing difficult choices, with Priya, Kat, Ash and Darnell also confronting situations that offer little comfort.
1. Lauren faces Mark’s departure
Mark’s arrival draws Lauren’s attention immediately, and she believes he has returned for her. Discovering that he is actually preparing to leave for Florida makes their reunion considerably more complicated.
Peter later promises to bring more spontaneity into their relationship. Lauren tells Mark that what happened between them cannot happen again, yet she remains torn as his departure approaches.
2. Priya considers whether to stay
Cindy’s discovery of the paternity test puts Priya under intense pressure. Having overheard the conversation following the scan, Cindy demands that she leave Walford or face the consequences of exposure.
Priya initially refuses to be driven away. However, an encounter with Linda and Oscar leaves her reconsidering, with their comments landing at an already vulnerable moment.
3. Kat keeps searching for answers
While the Slaters organise a memorial tree for Zoe, Kat remains focused on understanding her daughter’s death. She turns to Max for assistance rather than joining the family’s preparations.
After speaking with Alfie, Denise tries to reach Kat. When the planting takes place, her absence makes clear how differently she is approaching her grief from those gathered to remember Zoe.
4. Ash struggles with another rejection
Eve helps Suki and Ash reconcile after a comment about parenting revives their tension. That progress is quickly strained when Suki says Ash cannot stay because she and Eve must concentrate on Ria.
Later, Ash shares a heart-to-heart with Vinny. Suki tries to improve their relationship, but she does not realise her daughter has yet to forgive her.
5. Darnell voices his concerns
Jack is determined to find out why a possible donor has not come forward for testing. His suspicions lead him to Darnell, who admits he has learned he might be a match.
Darnell explains the fears behind his hesitation. Denise respects his decision, but Jack remains unhappy with the situation.
