EastEnders spoilers for 21–24 September as Kat Moon misses Zoe’s memorial and Jack Branning demands answers

Grief, uncertainty and strained family ties shape the next week in EastEnders. Kat struggles to join a tribute to Zoe, Jack challenges Darnell over donor testing, and Vinny’s first days at home with the baby take an unexpected turn.

Kat cannot step away from her questions

The Slaters prepare to honour Zoe by planting a memorial tree. Kat, however, remains absorbed in finding answers about her daughter’s death and asks Max for help.

Alfie speaks with Denise, who then tries to get through to Kat. Despite that effort, the family gathers for the planting without her, and her absence is deeply felt.

The occasion offers the Slaters a shared way to remember Zoe. Kat’s focus remains elsewhere, leaving a painful gap at an event intended to bring the family together.

Denise and Jack respond differently to Darnell

Denise tells Jack that a potential donor still has not come forward for testing. Convinced that person is Darnell, Jack goes to him demanding an explanation.

Darnell confirms he has discovered he might be a match and talks about his fears. Denise accepts his decision, but Jack is not ready to let the matter rest.

At the same time, Amy is carrying her own fears about Denise. She opens up to Craig about those worries and Roxy’s death, although their conversation ends abruptly when he notices her scars.

Vinny balances fatherhood with family tension

Bringing the baby home with Penny should give Vinny a chance to settle into their new routine. Instead, he is called to the police station and finds Ash in custody when he had expected Suki.

Ash wants to meet the newborn and intends to stay for weeks. Her difficulties with Suki soon complicate the visit, despite Eve’s efforts to help them reconnect.

Vinny later shares an honest conversation with Ash. Elsewhere, Phil offers Ned practical support by agreeing to trace a former business associate who could help resolve his family’s money problems.
