EastEnders Spoilers 17–20 August: Biggest Stories Revealed

Ravi makes a huge romantic gesture, Penny suffers a frightening health crisis and Denise receives difficult news about her treatment in EastEnders.

Avani attempts to bring Ravi and Priya back together, while Ravi turns to Zack for advice. Encouraged to show Priya how much she means to him, Ravi proposes at The Boxing Den. The timing could hardly be worse, as Priya has continued seeing Max. Overcome with guilt, she heads to Max’s flat and ends their affair.

Max is also struggling with unresolved feelings for Linda. He looks after Annie while Linda goes on a date with Clive, but the chemistry between Max and Linda remains difficult to ignore. Cindy, meanwhile, has no idea about Max and Priya’s betrayal as her hen celebrations approach.

Pregnant Penny remains focused on opening her new shop despite Vinny’s concerns. He notices swelling in her leg and urges her to seek medical advice, but Penny refuses. After falling from her wheelchair, Suki encourages her to accept help. Penny later begins struggling to breathe, prompting Max and Priya to rush her to hospital. 

Denise and Jack receive another major setback when doctors reveal her chemotherapy has not been working as well as hoped and she now needs a stem cell transplant. Kim’s plans to include Denise in her hen celebrations are also affected by her sister’s condition. 

Elsewhere, Nicola opens up to George after events around Kojo’s birthday force her to confront painful memories. Craig is removed from the Joel investigation following a complaint but continues supporting Amy, while Ross backs Joel. Lily and Joel also reach an understanding after Lily’s disappointing exam results.
