EastEnders spoilers for 17–20 August 2026 see Ravi propose to Priya, Denise receive difficult news and Penny suffer a frightening health scare.
Romance, secrets and serious health worries dominate Walford as Ravi prepares a huge gesture for Priya while she struggles with her affair with Max. Denise receives difficult news about her treatment, Penny is rushed to hospital and Craig’s career comes under threat.
Monday 17 August
Avani tries to play matchmaker between Ravi and Priya, while Nicola and George organise birthday drinks for Kojo. Just as things finally appear to be improving between Nicola and George, another situation escalates and threatens their progress.
Meanwhile, Craig discovers that a serious complaint has been made against him at work and he is suspended from police duty. Amy secretly panics as she worries about what is happening.
Tuesday 18 August
Linda goes on a date with Clive despite having slept with Max, while Penny agrees to attend an antenatal class with Vinny. Ravi turns to Zack for relationship advice, and Zack encourages him to show Priya just how much he loves her, leading Ravi to decide on a huge romantic gesture.
Elsewhere, George and Nicola deal with their latest drama, forcing Nicola to confront painful memories from her past. With nowhere else to turn, she has an honest conversation with George.
Wednesday 19 August
Priya feels guilty when Cindy asks for her help with the party, before heading to the Boxing Den to meet Ravi. She is stunned when Ravi proposes to her.
The proposal pushes Priya into deciding to end her affair with Max, while Max panics after oversleeping following another secret night with Priya. It is also the day of Cindy and Kim’s hen parties, although Kim’s celebration is cut short when Denise does not feel well enough to continue.
Elsewhere, Ross invites his son Joel to a movie night with Vicki.
Thursday 20 August
Lily and Joel agree to remain friends after sharing a heart-to-heart. It is also the day of Penny’s shop opening, but Vinny becomes worried after noticing that her leg is swollen. Penny suddenly becomes ill and is rushed to hospital by Max and Priya.
Meanwhile, Denise and Jack are devastated when doctors reveal that her chemotherapy has not worked as well as they had hoped. Denise will now need a stem-cell transplant.
