The Slaters are left broken by Zoe’s death

By Tuesday, the Slaters are struggling to understand Zoe’s death, while Kat shuts herself away from those closest to her.

Kat later heads to container junction, where Oscar comforts her and talks about his mum’s experience following Abi’s death. When Kat eventually returns to The Vic, she discovers the family holding a vigil for Zoe in her bedroom and orders everyone to leave.

The news also has a particularly strong impact on the last person who saw Zoe alive.

On Thursday, police arrive with Zoe’s postmortem results, leaving Kat stunned and determined to get answers. Alfie turns to Harvey and Billy for support at the allotments, while Sharon tries to reach Kat and offers her some advice.

Sharon later suggests approaching Jack for a favour, but what the evidence uncovers leaves her shocked.

Before Penny gets the opportunity, however, her waters break after she becomes upset at the party.
