EastEnders Priya Left Stunned as Ravi Makes Marriage Move

Ravi Gulati is ready to put his heart on the line in EastEnders as he prepares to ask Priya Nandra-Hart to marry him, but Priya’s secret relationship with Max Branning means her answer may be far from straightforward.

Since returning to Walford, Ravi has been trying to prove that he genuinely wants another chance with Priya and their family. Priya has resisted his attempts to win her back, convinced that trusting Ravi again could simply leave her hurt, but Ravi refuses to give up on rebuilding what they once had.

After turning to Zack Hudson for advice, Ravi is encouraged to stop relying on words and show Priya just how serious he is. He takes that advice in a major way, arranging for Priya to meet him at The Boxing Den before getting ready to go down on one knee.

What Ravi does not know is that Priya has been secretly sleeping with Max. Their affair has continued despite several close calls, and Priya has even spent another night with him while Max is preparing to marry Cindy Beale.

The situation becomes increasingly uncomfortable when Cindy asks Priya to help with her hen celebrations. Cindy remains unaware that her fiancé has been seeing Priya behind her back, while Priya is left feeling guilty about helping prepare for a wedding she knows is already hiding a major betrayal.

Priya eventually decides something has to change and heads to Max’s flat intending to tell him their affair is over. It could mark a decisive moment for Priya, particularly with Ravi preparing to offer her the chance of rebuilding their family together.

However, ending things with Max does not automatically answer the bigger question facing her. Priya has repeatedly questioned whether she can trust Ravi again, and one grand romantic gesture cannot erase everything that has happened between them.

Ravi appears convinced that showing Priya the full extent of his commitment could finally prove that he is serious. A marriage proposal certainly does that, but Priya knows she would be accepting while keeping the truth about Max from him.

There is also Max to consider. Priya may intend to finish their relationship, but whether he is equally prepared to walk away remains uncertain, particularly after the pair have continued returning to each other despite knowing how much is at stake.

Priya therefore arrives at a crucial point with both men. Ravi is offering her a future and the possibility of rebuilding their family, while her relationship with Max has left her carrying a secret that could threaten that future before it has even begun.

Her answer to Ravi’s proposal has not been revealed, making the moment one of the biggest questions hanging over the storyline. Whatever Priya decides, keeping her affair with Max hidden may become increasingly difficult with Ravi talking about marriage and Cindy preparing for a wedding of her own.
