EastEnders Nicola and Rose trapped in van as feud erupts
EastEnders’ Nicola and Rose are forced together when tensions boil over and the feuding pair end up trapped inside a van in Albert Square.
Nicola’s difficult reunion with her family takes another turn in EastEnders when tensions with Rose erupt and the pair unexpectedly end up trapped inside a van together. Their already strained relationship is pushed even further as neither can simply walk away from the situation.
Rose has made an immediate impact since arriving in Walford with Gemma, Jodie, Ned and Ryder. Nicola was furious to see her relatives descend on Albert Square, making it clear from the outset that there are unresolved problems within the family.
Things remain tense as Rose continues causing trouble around Peacock Palace. Linda and Elaine quickly become frustrated by her presence, while Nicola has even more reason to be unhappy as the family drama follows her around the Square.
Gemma attempts to reach out to Nicola and repair some of the tension between the sisters. However, the situation involving Rose proves much harder to resolve as old frustrations continue bubbling beneath the surface.
The already uncomfortable atmosphere eventually leads to Nicola and Rose finding themselves locked inside a van together. With neither woman able to escape the other, the unexpected situation forces them into close quarters at exactly the wrong moment.
For Nicola, the family’s arrival has been unwelcome from the beginning. She has yet to learn the full reason behind their sudden appearance in Walford, leaving her dealing with relatives she did not expect while knowing there may be more to their visit than she has been told.
Rose, meanwhile, is proving difficult for more than just Nicola. Her behaviour has already caught the attention of Linda and Elaine, suggesting the family’s arrival is beginning to affect people well beyond their own relationships.
Being trapped together could give Nicola and Rose an opportunity to address some of the tension between them, but their strained relationship means there is no guarantee the experience will bring them closer. With the real reason for the family’s arrival still waiting to be revealed, Nicola’s problems with Rose are only one part of a much bigger story beginning to unfold in Walford.
