EastEnders Max steps in for Ollie as Linda feelings resurface
EastEnders’ Max comes to Ollie’s aid during an important day, leaving Linda facing fresh uncertainty about the feelings she thought were behind her.
Linda is forced to reconsider her feelings for Max in EastEnders after he unexpectedly steps in to support Ollie during an important moment. Just as Linda appears to be moving forward with Clive, Max once again becomes part of her family life.
Ollie is nervous about his first day at secondary school and is struggling with the prospect of taking such a big step. Linda wants to help him through it, but Max ultimately comes to the rescue and gives Ollie the support he needs.
Seeing Max step up has an effect on Linda. Their history remains complicated, but his willingness to be there for Ollie reminds her of the connection between them at a time when she has been attempting to look elsewhere.
Linda has recently been spending time with Clive, and the possibility of something developing between them has started to emerge. However, her unfinished business with Max means moving on may not be as straightforward as she hoped.
The timing is particularly difficult because Max is preparing to marry Cindy. Their wedding is getting closer, but events around the Square continue to bring Max and Linda back into each other’s orbit.
For Linda, Max helping Ollie is about much more than a single good deed. She sees him taking an active role when her son needs reassurance, and that inevitably leaves her considering feelings she may have hoped were safely in the past.
Max is already dealing with considerable complications elsewhere. Ravi is becoming suspicious about his past involvement with Priya, meaning his upcoming marriage is surrounded by secrets and unresolved relationships from several directions.
Linda does not know everything unfolding around Max, but she does know how she feels when he supports her family. That creates another dilemma just as a potential future with Clive begins to look possible.
Ollie’s milestone therefore becomes unexpectedly significant for Linda too. What begins as a difficult first day for her son leaves Linda once again wondering whether she has genuinely moved on from Max or whether their connection remains unfinished.
With Max’s wedding approaching, Linda may not have unlimited time to decide what those feelings mean. His actions have given her something new to think about, and the situation is about to become even more complicated.
