For a character who has repeatedly promised to change, it would represent a significant setback.

One reason the storyline is working so well is because it taps directly into the qualities that have always made Max such a compelling character.

He rarely sets out to cause destruction. Instead, he convinces himself he can manage impossible situations before becoming trapped by his own decisions.

That pattern has followed him throughout his time on the Square and it is happening again here. The difference this time is that Priya refuses to be a passive participant.

She is no longer willing to sit quietly on the sidelines while Max decides her future for her. That makes her a far more dangerous threat than Max appears to realise.

Can Priya Bring Max Down?

As the affair edges closer to exposure, the biggest question is no longer whether Max wants to end things.

It is whether Priya will allow him to. After being hidden in a car boot and treated like an inconvenience rather than a partner, she has every reason to seek revenge.

With Cindy already suspicious, Lauren unknowingly caught in the middle and Max running out of places to hide, all it may take is one decision from Priya to bring the entire house of cards crashing down.
