EastEnders Max and Priya Affair Faces Its Biggest Test Yet

Priya Nandra-Hart’s affair with Max Branning reaches a crucial point in upcoming EastEnders scenes as she decides their secret relationship has gone too far. With Ravi Gulati preparing to make a serious commitment to her, Priya knows she cannot keep living two separate lives.

Priya and Max have continued seeing each other despite the enormous risk involved. Max is preparing to marry Cindy Beale, while Ravi has been doing everything he can to convince Priya that he deserves another chance with her.

The pressure increases when Cindy asks Priya to help with her hen celebrations. Cindy remains completely unaware that Priya has been sleeping with her fiancé, making the situation increasingly uncomfortable as Priya is drawn further into preparations for their wedding.

Priya eventually reaches the point where she knows something has to give. She heads to Max’s flat intending to end their affair, determined to draw a line under what has been happening between them before the situation becomes even more damaging.

However, walking away from Max may not be quite as simple as making the decision. The pair have repeatedly returned to each other despite knowing what they could lose if the truth came out, and Max’s reaction to Priya ending things could prove important.

At the same time, Ravi is moving in the opposite direction. After struggling to convince Priya that his feelings are genuine, he turns to Zack Hudson for advice and is encouraged to make a grand gesture that shows exactly how serious he is.

Ravi takes that advice further than Priya could possibly expect. He arranges for her to meet him at The Boxing Den, where he plans to ask her to marry him and give their relationship another chance.

The proposal places Priya’s situation with Max under even greater pressure. If she wants a future with Ravi, she may have to close the door on Max completely, while also deciding whether she can begin again with Ravi without revealing what has happened behind his back.

Max also has plenty at stake. He is preparing for his own wedding to Cindy, yet his ongoing involvement with Priya means both relationships are built around a secret that could cause serious fallout if it is exposed.

Priya may be ready to say that the affair is finished, but whether that is truly the end of her connection with Max remains to be seen. With Ravi suddenly offering her marriage and Cindy preparing for her own big day, the secret between Priya and Max has never carried greater consequences.
