EastEnders Linda Goes Public With Max as Family Tensions Rise

Linda finally tells her family about Max in EastEnders, but the moment comes just as Nancy’s return brings another secret into the Carter family.
Linda and Max have already reached the point where keeping their relationship hidden is becoming increasingly difficult. Annie and Ollie have seen them kissing, leaving Linda uncomfortable about what the children now know, while Max has argued that they should wait before telling everybody until his annulment from Cindy is finalised.
That plan starts to unravel when Nancy unexpectedly returns to Walford. Nancy goes to Johnny for legal advice but makes it clear that she does not want Linda knowing she is back. Max later reveals Nancy’s return, prompting Linda and Elaine to go and see her. The reunion quickly becomes difficult as Nancy and Linda argue, leaving Linda with another family problem to deal with just as her relationship with Max is becoming impossible to keep quiet.
Linda eventually decides to tell her family the truth about Max. Rather than putting an end to the secrecy around her, however, the confession leaves her increasingly suspicious that those closest to her are keeping things from her too. Official episode information confirms Linda reveals the relationship before becoming worried that her family are not being honest with her.
The timing could hardly be worse. Linda is trying to move forward with Max while Nancy has returned carrying a problem she initially refuses to share with her mum.
Linda may finally be ready to stop hiding her own relationship, but she quickly discovers she is not the only Carter keeping something back.
