Kat remains focused on finding answers about Zoe’s death, but could her determination leave Alfie increasingly worried about how she is coping?
Kat’s determination to understand Zoe’s death could create another difficult period for those trying to support her.
Since discovering Zoe’s body, Kat has struggled to let her family close. She initially keeps the devastating news to herself before later becoming overwhelmed when she finds relatives holding a vigil in Zoe’s bedroom.
Following the postmortem, Kat remains focused on what happened and begins seeking further answers. That determination could leave Alfie wondering how best to support her. He already understands that Kat cannot deal with everybody else’s grief while struggling with her own, but her need to find answers may make reaching her even harder.
There is no confirmation that Kat deliberately pushes Alfie away because of her search. However, her reaction to Zoe’s death has already shown how differently she is processing the loss compared with the rest of the family.
Finding answers may simply be Kat’s way of trying to regain some control after an unimaginable shock.
