EastEnders Chelsea Fox realises Sheila has betrayed her after Jordan disappears

Chelsea is set to face one of her worst nightmares when she realises Sheila has betrayed her and Jordan has disappeared. In upcoming EastEnders scenes, her growing suspicions prove justified as Gray’s prison scheme leaves her trapped and unable to reach her son.

Chelsea has already become uneasy about Sheila’s increasing involvement in Jordan’s life. Although Sheila has presented herself as a caring grandmother, Chelsea begins to question whether her interest in the boy is genuine and decides she should no longer be trusted to look after him.

Unable to care for Jordan herself while she remains in prison, Chelsea turns to Kim for help. She asks Kim to stay with her son while she visits Ian, believing he may know more about what Gray has been planning from inside.

The arrangement quickly falls apart when Kim learns that Denise has disappeared from hospital. Worried about her sister, Kim is forced to leave and Sheila uses the opportunity to offer to care for Jordan in her absence.

Chelsea has no idea that Sheila is about to act. Once Jordan is in her care, Sheila disappears with him and leaves the family trying to work out where she has gone.

At the same time, Chelsea meets Ian in prison and pushes him for answers about Gray. Ian has formed a dangerous connection with Gray behind bars, but he gradually realises Chelsea is walking into a trap and urges her to leave.

Before Chelsea can get away, an incident inside the prison leaves her trapped. The delay becomes devastating when she discovers Jordan is missing and Sheila has betrayed the trust placed in her.

Chelsea is left powerless at the exact moment her son needs her. Her imprisonment means she cannot join the search herself, forcing her to rely on Denise, Kim and Jack while fearing Sheila may already be taking Jordan far from Walford.

The betrayal is particularly painful because Sheila used her family connection to gain access to Jordan. Chelsea believed Sheila’s position as his grandmother meant she would protect him, but her actions suggest her loyalty remains with Gray.

Gray appears to have used Chelsea’s separation from Jordan as a key part of his plan. By directing events from prison, he has found another way to control her and place her family under pressure without leaving his cell.

Chelsea’s visit to Ian may still prove important, as he could hold information about Gray’s instructions and Sheila’s next move. If Ian decides to speak openly, he may give Jack the lead needed to trace Jordan before Sheila carries out the rest of the plan.

Denise is also determined to help despite receiving hospital treatment. Her decision to leave hospital and join Kim in the search shows how serious the family believes the threat to Jordan has become.

Scenes will show Denise and Kim at an airport, raising the possibility that Sheila may be planning to leave with Jordan. Her destination has not been confirmed, but the scenes suggest the family could face a desperate attempt to stop her.

For Chelsea, the immediate fear is that she may be too late to protect her son. She must also come to terms with the fact that her concerns about Sheila were ignored until the moment Jordan vanished.

The ordeal could permanently destroy any remaining bond between Chelsea and Sheila. Even if Jordan is brought home safely, the trust Sheila used to get close to him is unlikely to be repaired.

Gray’s scheme has once again placed Chelsea in a position where fear and uncertainty are being used against her. However, the support of Denise, Kim and Jack may give her the strength needed to fight back and bring Jordan home.
