EastEnders Amy Left Heartbroken as Denzel Rejects Her
EastEnders sees Amy hope for another chance with Denzel, only to be left devastated when he rejects her after receiving a warning from Howie.
Amy faces fresh heartbreak in upcoming EastEnders scenes when hopes of rekindling her relationship with Denzel come crashing down. Despite the pair having split two years ago, Denzel begins to wonder whether there could still be something between them.
Denzel considers asking Amy out again as old feelings begin to resurface. However, his plans change after a warning from Howie leaves him questioning whether getting back together would really be the right move.
Amy remains unaware that Denzel has been thinking about another chance between them and decides to make the first move herself. She asks him out, believing there could still be a future for the former couple after everything they have been through.
Unfortunately for Amy, Denzel has already taken Howie’s advice on board. He turns her down, leaving Amy hurt just as she had begun to hope they might finally find their way back to each other.
The rejection comes at a particularly difficult time for Amy, who is already dealing with the continuing fallout from Joel’s assault case. Her attention is soon pulled in another direction when she receives unexpected contact connected to the investigation.
For Denzel, the decision appears to be about protecting both himself and Amy from repeating the past. Whether his feelings for her have really disappeared is another matter, particularly after he had already considered making a move himself.
Amy and Denzel have shared plenty of history, meaning this rejection may not necessarily be the final word on their relationship. For now, however, Amy is left disappointed after taking a chance and discovering Denzel is not prepared to try again.
