Coronation Street’s Hope makes shocking Ross discovery that could expose his biggest secret

Cassie may have disappeared from Weatherfield, but Coronation Street is already planting the seeds for the next chapter in Ross’ story. This time, it isn’t one of the adults who notices something isn’t right. Instead, it’s Hope who stumbles across a discovery that leaves Fiz seriously questioning whether Ross can be trusted.

After everything Cassie tried to tell her family, her warnings were largely dismissed. Tyrone chose to give his father another chance, while Ross appeared to settle into life on the cobbles despite the questions hanging over his past. However, an innocent moment involving Hope could change that sooner than anyone expected.

In upcoming scenes, Ross encourages Hope to take some money from his wallet as a gesture of goodwill. While looking inside, she spots an unusual item that immediately catches her attention. The programme is keeping exactly what she finds under wraps for now, but whatever it is proves enough to make Hope suspicious.

Rather than brushing it aside, Hope takes her concerns straight to Fiz. That decision could prove hugely significant, because Fiz has already been quietly questioning Ross’ behaviour following Cassie’s sudden departure. While others appear prepared to accept his explanations, Fiz has noticed that parts of his story simply don’t add up.

Ross recently found himself under pressure when Steve asked what had happened to Cassie after seeing her get into his car.
