Coronation Street viewers question whether Gary Windass has the most to lose as Sarah Platt’s trial filming continues
Coronation Street has continued filming Sarah Platt’s courtroom storyline this week, with Gary Windass under increasing pressure and several familiar faces spotted on location.
Coronation Street has continued filming Sarah Platt’s upcoming courtroom storyline in Bolton this week, with several familiar Weatherfield faces spotted as production moves forward.
While Sarah remains at the centre of the case following Theo Silverton’s death, viewers are increasingly questioning whether Gary Windass could have just as much to lose when the trial finally reaches screens.
Gary has found himself under mounting pressure ever since becoming involved in the aftermath of Theo’s death. Although he was not responsible for what happened, his determination to protect Sarah has left him caught up in a situation that could have lasting consequences for his own future.
Gary’s loyalty has come at a cost

Throughout the storyline, Gary has stood firmly by Sarah, but every attempt to help has drawn him further into the investigation. His actions have raised difficult questions about where loyalty ends and responsibility begins, leaving him in one of the most challenging positions of his time on the Street.
With Sarah preparing to face trial, Gary’s future remains uncertain. The courtroom drama may focus on Sarah, but the decisions Gary made afterwards could also come under scrutiny as the full story begins to unfold.
Familiar faces spotted filming this week
Filming has continued this week at Bolton Crown Court, which is once again standing in for Weatherfield’s courtroom.
Tina O’Brien was spotted filming as Sarah Platt alongside Sam Robertson, with Adam Barlow expected to play a significant part in the upcoming storyline. Lucy Fallon was also seen filming as Bethany Platt, while Alison King was on location as Carla Connor-Swain
Vicky Myers was also photographed filming as DS Lisa Connor-Swain in full police uniform. As the senior investigating officer leading the case, Lisa’s appearance is a natural part of the courtroom storyline and suggests she will give evidence in court as the case progresses.
Although the cast members involved have now been seen filming, ITV is keeping the outcome of Sarah’s trial firmly under wraps.
Sarah’s future remains uncertain

Sarah remains the person facing trial, and the court will determine the consequences following Theo’s death. Coronation Street has yet to reveal how the case will conclude, ensuring one of the soap’s biggest storylines remains a closely guarded secret.
Gary could still face difficult questions

Whether Gary ultimately avoids further consequences remains to be seen. His decision to stand by Sarah has already placed him under enormous pressure, and the courtroom proceedings may finally reveal how his actions are viewed once all the evidence is heard.
For now, Coronation Street is keeping viewers guessing. With filming continuing this week and the verdict still unknown, Sarah’s trial is shaping up to be one of the soap’s most anticipated storylines of the year.
