Coronation Street Susie wins over Ben and Eva but Maggie disapproves
Coronation Street’s Susie persuades Ben and Eva to let Glenda share her singing video online, but Maggie is unhappy with the decision.
Susie wants her singing to be heard beyond the people around her in upcoming Coronation Street scenes. However, getting a video onto the Little Big Shotz website first means persuading Ben and Eva to agree.
Neither is immediately comfortable with the idea. Susie has to make her case before they reluctantly allow Glenda to upload the recording.
Their agreement gives Susie the permission she has been seeking. Glenda can now share the video, offering a wider audience the chance to see her performance.
There is one person who remains unconvinced, though. Maggie disapproves, meaning Susie’s success in winning over Ben and Eva does not bring everyone into agreement.
The disagreement puts the focus on a decision that matters to Susie. She is keen to have her singing shared, while the adults around her clearly do not all feel the same way about taking that step.
Ben and Eva have agreed despite their reservations, but Maggie’s reaction leaves an awkward note hanging over the moment. Susie has got the answer she wanted, even if the response around her is far from unanimous.
Coronation Street airs on ITV1. Episodes are also available to stream on ITVX.
