Coronation Street Summer could finally find happiness again
Summer receives an unexpected invitation from newcomer Marco, potentially opening a hopeful new chapter following an incredibly difficult period in her life.
Summer’s meeting with newcomer Marco could mark the beginning of a happier new chapter for the Coronation Street favourite.
Summer has been through enormous personal loss, including the deaths of Paul and Billy, leaving romance understandably low on her priorities. Upcoming scenes now suggest she could finally be ready to consider letting somebody new into her life.
Her introduction to Marco certainly does not run smoothly. After meeting Summer at Roy’s and admiring her drawings, Marco takes one of the designs from her notebook without permission. Summer later spots her artwork displayed at the tattoo parlour and angrily confronts him.
Marco then reveals the unusual reasoning behind his actions. He wanted another opportunity to see Summer and offers to pay her for her work before suggesting they meet for a drink.
Whether Summer accepts remains to be seen, but the invitation introduces the possibility of a new romantic storyline for her.
It would also represent a significant change for Summer following everything she has experienced. Rather than another storyline centred around grief or loss, Marco could potentially offer her the chance to look towards something new.
The circumstances surrounding their first meeting mean Marco still has plenty to prove, but his arrival could ultimately become the beginning of a much more positive period for Summer.
