Coronation Street spoilers for 19 to 23 October: Debbie risks a Ronnie row as Tyrone is challenged over Ruby

Debbie's mistake creates an awkward situation

Debbie accidentally calls Ronnie Darren when she suggests that they head back to bed. Ronnie does not challenge her, instead pretending that he has a headache. The moment passes without an argument, but Debbie later puts herself in a more complicated position when Denise's fiancé, Stan, arrives.

Debbie tells Stan that she has missed him, offers him wine and admits that her husband no longer fancies her. Ronnie walks in and finds Debbie flirting with Stan, but his response has not been revealed. Earlier, Debbie gives Ronnie short shrift while he is talking to Carl, unaware that Paula, an ex-con, is watching her.

Tyrone faces criticism over Ruby's boxing ambitions

Ross forces Dorin and Tyrone to try boxing, but neither enjoys it. The sport becomes a family issue when Fiz and Tyrone explain that the girls have also tried it and Ruby wants to take it up properly. Tyrone initially objects, saying boxing is not for girls and that he does not want Ruby to get hurt.

Hope challenges her father for being sexist, prompting Tyrone to agree that Ruby can go. Ross disapproves, leaving the disagreement unresolved.

Bernie tries to hide her distress

Bernie receives a hospital letter confirming that she carries the BRCA gene. She hurries upstairs to hide how upset she is, while Dev and Kit watch with concern.

Daniel takes a stand over council land

Daniel tells Ken that Mrs Crawshaw has revealed plans to sell spare council land to a wealthy developer. He resolves to stop the sale, with a possible dispute between Idris and Daniel coming up.

Fiz challenges Ross over film night

Fiz confronts Ross and accuses him of deliberately sabotaging the family's film night.
