Coronation Street spoilers 30 Aug–4 Sep 2026: Car plot explodes
Ronnie’s dangerous plan involving Idris and Fiona backfires badly as Coronation Street also delivers a death, an exit and emotional family drama.
Ronnie takes a dangerous gamble when his problems over the missing gun push him towards a risky plan involving Idris and gangster Fiona.
He considers stealing Idris’ car and handing it to Fiona as a way of settling his debt, but the scheme quickly causes trouble. Idris confronts Ronnie, punches him and accuses him of stealing the vehicle.
Ronnie later turns his attention to Debbie and suggests her upcoming birthday plans should be toned down.
Debbie is already showing worrying signs of confusion. She accidentally goes to the hotel wearing her slippers, then offers Bethany an Eighties makeover and almost cuts her hair before Maria intervenes.
Betsy, meanwhile, achieves a huge milestone by standing for the first time since her stroke. Lauren puts her foot in it, while a later lunch ends painfully when Betsy knocks cutlery over and Debbie jokes that she is drunk.
Celeste’s death brings further heartbreak. Gemma tells Bernie after Celeste’s health fails, before a devastating family secret emerges. Ryan breaks the news to Todd, who later discovers Celeste wanted a shindig instead of a funeral.
Nina says farewell to Asha, Amy and Summer, then shares an emotional moment with Abi before leaving for Whitby.
Jodie clashes with Bethany over Kit and secretly invites him over despite Shona’s warning, while Shona also worries about Harper’s rash.
