A closed pub, an unconscious Eva and Debbie struggling to raise the alarm bring a frightening end to the week in Coronation Street. Elsewhere, Lisa handles an escalating problem at work with the firmness it requires.
What happens after Eva closes the pub?
Eva feels dreadful and shuts the premises, only to hear a noise downstairs. Later, Debbie arrives to find her unconscious below the cellar steps.
Debbie immediately goes to seek help, showing how urgently she wants someone to come to Eva’s aid. However, she becomes confused, leaving her attempt to help in difficulty.
Can Lisa’s warning get through to Kit?
Lisa takes control when Kit loses his temper with a suspect, refusing to let the encounter carry on. She sends him home for the day and explains that he risks losing his job unless he sorts out his behaviour.
It is a measured response to conduct that cannot be ignored. Kit has already stormed away from Bernie’s appointment after hearing her tell him and Dev that she expects a negative test result.
Why is Christina so shaken?
Christina welcomes George’s decision to promote her to assistant funeral director. But when he teaches her to access Rachel’s file and identifies Rachel as Lucy’s mother, she is horrified and leaves quickly.
Sally’s concern about Lucy also leads to an awkward confrontation. Asking whether an angry woman in Lucy’s artwork represents her mum brings an furious reaction rather than an explanation.
Will everyone support Susie’s singing?
Susie wins permission from a reluctant Ben and Eva for Glenda to post her singing video on the Little Big Shotz website. Maggie remains unhappy about the idea, even after the agreement is reached.
Glenda has another plan that goes down rather better with Ronnie. He recognises that she has arranged the quiz’s eighties questions to give Debbie an enjoyable evening.
Who is Carl’s visitor?
Debbie and Ronnie return to find a girl coming out of Carl’s room, with a semi-naked Carl following her. When she introduces herself as Kylie, Debbie mistakes her for Kylie Minogue.
Carl also begins a shift at Street Cars in upcoming scenes. His surprise bedroom encounter provides another unexpected moment for Debbie before the later emergency involving Eva.
