Coronation Street spoilers 21-25 September: Lisa gives Kit job ultimatum as Eva is found unconscious

Coronation Street has another packed week ahead, with Kit struggling to keep control as the pressure of his cancer diagnosis continues to build.

Lisa is forced to intervene at work, while Debbie faces more difficult moments with her dementia and Eva is left at the centre of a frightening emergency.

Kit reaches breaking point

Kit joins Dev in supporting Bernie at an important medical appointment, but the situation quickly becomes difficult for him.

Bernie remains convinced that her test results will bring good news, leaving Kit struggling with his own emotions as he continues to keep his breast cancer diagnosis from most of his family.

Unable to cope with the conversation, Kit suddenly loses his temper and walks away.

Lisa steps in at the police station

Kit’s problems then follow him into work, where his temper gets the better of him during an encounter with a suspect.

Lisa quickly recognises that the situation is getting out of control and steps in.

She orders Kit to take time away from work and makes it clear that he cannot continue behaving this way without consequences.

Her warning is serious, with Kit told that his job could ultimately be at risk if he does not get himself back on track.

Lisa may not know the full reason behind his behaviour, but she can clearly see that something is wrong.

Debbie enjoys a special pub quiz

Debbie gets a welcome opportunity to enjoy herself when she takes part in a pub quiz and discovers the questions are heavily focused on the 1980s.

She is soon in her element, while Ronnie realises Glenda has quietly arranged things to play to Debbie’s strengths.

His reaction shows how much he appreciates the effort to give Debbie a confidence boost and an evening she can simply enjoy.

Debbie’s confusion returns

A more worrying moment follows when Debbie and Ronnie arrive home and are surprised by a young woman emerging from Carl’s room, with Carl appearing shortly afterwards only partly dressed.

When the visitor introduces herself as Kylie, Debbie becomes confused and assumes she is Kylie Minogue.

Carl starts something new

Carl begins a fresh chapter when he starts working at Street Cars.

The new job gives him some stability after struggling to find work, although events elsewhere in the family continue to put Debbie’s health firmly at the centre of their lives.

Christina lands a promotion

Christina is thrilled when George gives her a bigger role at the funeral directors and promotes her to assistant funeral director.

The opportunity initially gives her plenty to celebrate, but her mood changes dramatically once she begins learning more about one particular case.

Christina makes a troubling discovery

George shows Christina how to access information on the computer and brings up Rachel Parkinson’s file.

When he explains that Rachel is Lucy’s mother, Christina is immediately shaken.

She keeps her reaction relatively quiet before quickly leaving, raising questions over exactly why the connection has affected her so strongly.

Lucy lashes out at Sally

Sally becomes concerned when she takes a closer look at Lucy’s art project and spots an unsettling image of an angry woman holding her head.

Trying to understand what Lucy has drawn, Sally asks whether the picture represents her mum.

Lucy reacts angrily to the suggestion, making it clear that Sally has touched a particularly sensitive nerve.

Susie gets her chance

Susie manages to persuade Ben and Eva to let Glenda share a video of her singing on the Little Big Shotz website.

They may initially need convincing, but Susie eventually gets the opportunity she wants.

Maggie is considerably less enthusiastic, however, and makes her disapproval obvious.

Eva suddenly falls ill

Eva begins feeling seriously unwell and decides she cannot continue running the pub.

After closing up, she hears a noise coming from downstairs.

With Eva already feeling dreadful, the unexplained sound leaves her in a vulnerable position as she goes to investigate.

Debbie finds Eva unconscious

The week ends with a frightening discovery when Debbie enters the empty pub and finds Eva unconscious at the bottom of the cellar steps.

Debbie immediately knows she needs to get help and rushes away, but her own confusion then takes over.

With Eva still needing urgent assistance, Debbie’s dementia creates an added complication at the worst possible moment.

It’s shaping up to be an exciting week on Coronation Street, with Kit under increasing pressure, Lisa forced to take action, Debbie facing more difficult moments and Eva left at the centre of a frightening emergency.
