Manchester United face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup Third Round at Old Trafford, with kick-off at 8pm. The match falls directly across Coronation Street’s normal 8.30pm slot.
ITV’s current weekday soap schedule normally sees Emmerdale air at 8pm before Coronation Street follows at 8.30pm. That line-up will change for the evening because of the live match
The football coverage will include the build-up, the match itself and post-match reaction, meaning Coronation Street will not be shown in its usual Wednesday position on ITV1.
