Coronation Street Nina Exit Fears as Surprise Whitby Offer Arrives

Nina Lucas is handed an unexpected opportunity in upcoming Coronation Street scenes, just as Mollie Gallagher’s confirmed departure from the soap approaches.
Nina returns to Weatherfield after travelling to Whitby for an interview at an art gallery, but she is convinced things have gone badly. She tells Roy that she thinks she has completely messed up the interview and believes her hopes of securing the job are over.
Feeling disappointed, Nina heads to the Rovers to drown her sorrows. However, her mood soon changes when she receives a call from the gallery and discovers that, despite her fears, she has actually been offered the job.
The offer gives Nina the fresh start she had been hoping for and immediately raises questions about whether Whitby could become part of her departure from Weatherfield.
Mollie Gallagher is confirmed to be leaving Coronation Street, although it has not been confirmed that this job offer will ultimately be the reason Nina says goodbye. For now, it gives the character a very believable route towards a new chapter while keeping the exact circumstances of her exit under wraps.
After believing she had blown her opportunity, Nina could instead have been handed exactly what she needs to start again. Whether she accepts the Whitby job remains to be seen, but the timing certainly makes the offer significant as her final Coronation Street scenes approach.
