Coronation Street Lisa grows concerned for Kit as cancer struggle worsens
Lisa becomes concerned when Kit’s behaviour changes at work, prompting her to raise the alarm as he struggles privately with his breast cancer diagnosis.
DS Lisa Connor-Swain becomes increasingly concerned about DC Kit Green in upcoming Coronation Street scenes as his struggle to cope with his breast cancer diagnosis begins affecting him at work.
Kit was recently told he has stage three breast cancer and will need further tests before doctors decide on the best treatment plan. Todd is currently one of the only people who knows what he is facing, after Kit made it clear that he does not want the rest of his family told.
Rather than opening up, Kit tries to bury what he is going through. He throws himself into work and attempts to carry on as normal, but Lisa soon notices that something is not right.
While pushing for progress in the investigation into Luke Cookson’s murder, Lisa is caught off guard when Kit snaps at her. Instead of simply dismissing his reaction, she recognises that his behaviour is out of character and becomes concerned enough to speak to Bernie.
Lisa has no idea about Kit’s diagnosis, but her concern shows that she is paying attention to one of her officers and realises there may be more behind his behaviour than frustration with the case.
Kit later pushes himself even harder and pursues a young suspect, wrongly accusing the innocent lad of murdering Luke. By the time he arrives at a family pizza night with two black eyes, Bernie is also increasingly worried about what is happening to her son.
With both Lisa and Bernie recognising that Kit is struggling, it is becoming harder for him to hide the enormous pressure he is under.
Coronation Street continues on ITV1 and ITVX.
